AT THRILLS WE ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT OUR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT AND SUSTAINABILITY WITHIN OUR SUPPLY CHAIN, We don’t believe sustainability is just about fabrics it is also about people and the environment. Although we actively design into predominantly organic cotton and recycled fibres. It doesn’t stop there. We are ensuring that our supply chain is fully mapped and adheares to a minimum of a 2-pillar social audit and key suppliers covering a 4-pillar audit within the next 12 months when Audits are due for renewal.
Audits are comprehensive assessments that evaluate a company's ethical and responsible sourcing practices. They aim to ensure that businesses are committed to promoting fair labor, health and safety standards, environmental sustainability, and ethical business practices throughout their supply chains. These Audits are updated annually and helps us understand our supply chain with transparency. We ensure all suppliers we work with have read and understand our strict code of conduct and animal welfare policies. Our Animal welfare policy is built on the vision to eliminate animal suffering in the fashion industry and includes a banned fibre list. Each of our suppliers are required to be able to provide a scope certificate for relevant products they will be producing. This means that the supplier has complied with the relevant requirements by an approved certifying body and are able to action Transaction certificates on products.
The scope certifications are for the following fibres: Organic Content Standard (OCS), Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Global Recycled Standard (GRS), Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) , Responsible Down Standard (RDS), Responsible Wool Standard (RWS)
The majority our supply chain has OCS certificates and 4 suppliers have GOTS. 9 suppliers have been issued with RCS certificates for recycled content.
Organic agriculture is a production process that sustains the health of ecosystems, soils and people. Organic cotton has a lower environmental impact than traditional cotton as it grows without synthetic pesticides and fertilisers and is free of GMO. Thrills products are certified to organic cotton standards.
